Hikmat vs Bodoh


Amsal 15:16

Lebih baik sedikit barang dengan disertai takut akan Tuhan daripada banyak harta dengan disertai kecemasan.

Opsi yang sangat jelas! Tinggal pilih: hidup apa adanya bersama Tuhan ATAU banyak harta tapi temannya kecemasan.

Tuhan tidak pernah menentang mereka yang memiliki materi berkelimpahan, sebaliknya berkat Tuhan sering tampak dalam berkat materi. Tetapi harta yang diperoleh tanpa seturut jalan Tuhan, tidak akan memberikan damai.

Di awal kitab Amsal Raja Salomo juga telah memberikan definisi mengenai hal ini: Takut akan TUHAN adalah permulaan pengetahuan, tetapi orang bodoh menghina hikmat dan didikan. (Amsal 1:7)

Semoga kita bisa memilih dengan baik: menjadi orang berhikmat bersama Tuhan ATAU...?
