GOD IS GOOD
Praying—The Names and Attributes of God
“I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.””
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What is God like? Our understanding and concept of God will shape what kind of people (believers) we are! The Bible tells us the LORD, our God is good! The word “good” means—God is kindhearted, gracious, good-natured and good (benevolent) in intention.
God is perfectly good. Our goodness often depend on the circumstances around us; the way people treat us or by our mood / feeling. But God has no bad mood and He never fails to be kind. He was, He is and always be good! Because His nature is good. He alone is the Source of goodness! Nothing can alter his goodness—to be more or less kindhearted!
God is good to us! He gives us only what is good. (Mat 7:11) Not because we’re good! Out of His goodwill, He created us in His own image so He can share His character—His goodness with us! (Gen 1:27, 31). Though sin had snapped it away (Gen 3, Rom 3:23), this doesn’t change His benevolence towards us. He sent Jesus Christ! First, to redeem us (John 3:16). Salvation begins when we confess that God is good and we are not. We need God to restore us.
Second, Jesus came to live among us, to show us what “good” really means ~ full of grace and truth (John 10:10b; John 1:14). He exhibited the very good nature of God—whereby a wise ruler called Him, “Good Teacher” by calling Jesus “good” he was confessing that Jesus is God because the Jews believed “. “No one is good—except God alone.” Luke‬ ‭18:18-19‬ ‭NIV‬‬b
God is good! And because we are His Children, and He has sent us His Spirit enabling us to grow into His likeness, enabling us to live out kindness.
Father, we are grateful for the kindness and generosity you show us every day. Conform our hearts to be like yours and activate our hands by your Spirit at work within us so as to participate with you in showing kindness and generosity to others today.
May the Spirit of God in you, help you to...
Be the living expression of God’s kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.” ~ Mother Teresa

Cuma itu yang bisa saya lakukan, hanya kehadiran saja Saya jadi teringat: Musa meminta kepada Tuhan, " if your presence (kehadiran) does not go with us, do not send us from here " ( jika Engkau sendiri tidak membimbing kami, janganlah menyuruh kami pergi dari tempat ini" (Kel 33:15) Kesibukan hidup menjadikan " kehadiran" menjadi sesuatu yg sulit kita berikan kepada orang lain, keluarga ( suami, istri, anak-anak, cucu2, atau orang tua) dan bahkan kepada Allah. Ironis, sama seperti Musa kita merindukan kehadiran Allah (hadiratNya) - kehadiran Roh Nya.
The Theology of Giving PL THE The practice of unity in the early Church is most evident in the sharing of resources among the believers. The early Church existed to assist unfortunate people. Early believers cared for the poor both inside and outside the church. The Church was known as the organization of alms. Emperor Julian was impressed with the church’s charity work and imitated the Christian community by establishing many hostels in each city to help less fortunate town’s people and strangers. In the late first and early second century, almsgiving was regarded as equal to repentance from sin and considered better than fasting and prayer. In the church the rich and the poor lived together as one body. The rich supplied the poor with material needs, and the poor prayed for the rich. Regarding structure, the early Church was a house church, which implies “the church is the place for life” and is a house for human relationship (Pongudom 126-28). The principle of sharing resources refl...
