WHAT WILL YOU SAY...?

“Just as each day brims with your beauty, my mouth brims with praise. But don’t turn me out to pasture when I’m old or put me on the shelf when I can’t pull my weight. My enemies are talking behind my back, watching for their chance to knife me. The gossip is: “God has abandoned him. Pounce on him now; no one will help him.”” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭71:8-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬
The Psalmist describes that life is full of difficulty and opposition. The bad people are triumph, and gossiping: "God has abandoned him."
Have you come to this stage of life? Evil seems to triumph! And the worst, God doesn't seem to be available when you need Him. Or perhaps has abandoned you as what your enemies said.

But what will you say?

As for the Psalmist, regardless of what the reality is presenting, HE continue to cling to God.
First, God is His HOPE
"My God, free me from the grip of Wicked, from the clutch of Bad and Bully. You keep me going when times are tough— my bedrock, GOD, since my childhood. I’ve hung on you from the day of my birth, the day you took me from the cradle; I’ll never run out of praise. Many gasp in alarm when they see me, but you take me in stride.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭71:4-7‬ ‭

Second, God is His RESCUE
"God, don’t just watch from the sidelines. Come on! Run to my side! My accusers—make them lose face. Those out to get me—make them look Like idiots, while I stretch out, reaching for you, and daily add praise to praise."
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭71:12-16‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When the reality outside fail you, may the reality inside you sustain and keep you going. This will be possible only when you have this Living God, as your bedrock.
Though the Lord have made you see troubles, many and bitter, He will restore your life again; from the depths of the earth He will again bring you up. He will increase your honor and comfort you once more.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭71:20-21‬

Cuma itu yang bisa saya lakukan, hanya kehadiran saja Saya jadi teringat: Musa meminta kepada Tuhan, " if your presence (kehadiran) does not go with us, do not send us from here " ( jika Engkau sendiri tidak membimbing kami, janganlah menyuruh kami pergi dari tempat ini" (Kel 33:15) Kesibukan hidup menjadikan " kehadiran" menjadi sesuatu yg sulit kita berikan kepada orang lain, keluarga ( suami, istri, anak-anak, cucu2, atau orang tua) dan bahkan kepada Allah. Ironis, sama seperti Musa kita merindukan kehadiran Allah (hadiratNya) - kehadiran Roh Nya.
The Theology of Giving PL THE The practice of unity in the early Church is most evident in the sharing of resources among the believers. The early Church existed to assist unfortunate people. Early believers cared for the poor both inside and outside the church. The Church was known as the organization of alms. Emperor Julian was impressed with the church’s charity work and imitated the Christian community by establishing many hostels in each city to help less fortunate town’s people and strangers. In the late first and early second century, almsgiving was regarded as equal to repentance from sin and considered better than fasting and prayer. In the church the rich and the poor lived together as one body. The rich supplied the poor with material needs, and the poor prayed for the rich. Regarding structure, the early Church was a house church, which implies “the church is the place for life” and is a house for human relationship (Pongudom 126-28). The principle of sharing resources refl...
