THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN AND WILL HELP YOU
"And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.”
Acts 2:6 NKJV
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
Acts 1:8 NKJV
On the Pentecost Day, the essence about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit isn't so much about the form of the Holy Spirit (glossalia~speaking in tongue, etc). But the power of the Spirit breaks down all kinds of communication barriers. (Different personalities and styles, cultural and language barriers, etc)
The Sender - the preacher is able to speak in a way that can get the hearers attention and touch their hearts. On the hearers side, the Spirit works in their hearts, make them receptive to the word of God and lead them to submit and believe. Three thousands of them turned to the Lord.
We certainly need the power of the Holy Spirit in order to become an effective witnesses for Christ. We always pray for His anointing!
But I believe as much as we need the Holy Spirit in ministry, in the same way, we also need the Holy Spirit to be the Mediator in all our communications (husband-wife, parents-children, friend-friend, co-workers, colleagues, etc).
The Question: How is your communication with your loved ones? Do you sometime (or perhaps always) find it difficult to communicate to your loved ones?
Many of us are are good at business talk and casual talks. But how about talking about your walk with Christ, or heart-to-heart talk with your loved ones? How about communicating the contents of your minds and the intention to your hearts! How will they perceive? Did they perceive as what you meant?
Ask the Holy Spirit to help!
My prayer, as we open our life to be led by the Sprit. May we also seek His help to be the Mediator in all our relationships, helping us in all our communications!
