BE STILL
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalms 46:10 NKJV
When was the last the last time you stopped and be still to enjoy the presence of the Lord?
Beware you are not drifted by your pursuit of life. Busy and busy? Running around like a headless chicken? Yet the only rhyme that you know is
““Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun? Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises.”
Ecclesiastes 1:2-5 NIV
The Lord remind us, "REST, Be Still! Come into my rest, enjoy me presence! Rest, make time to enjoy the Lord! "Be still and know that I am God." God is in control of everything, including the labour of our hands. Unless the Lord build the house, the builder labour in vain (Ps 127:1)
Rest, and take time to enjoy His blessings; the fruits of your labour! (That's what God did on His Sabbath day. He looked at all He has created on the past six days, and "all are very good!" (Gen 1:31)
In the Gospel, Martha is busy trying to please the Lord and too busy to enjoy the presence of the Lord Jesus and misses His blessings!
Are you sometimes like Martha? Especially if the words "tired" keeps prompting you. The Lord is calling you: Be still and know that I am God.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NKJV
